Oct 14, 2016 - This article can help you Configuring PHP with MySQL for Apache 2 or IIS in Windows. Look at the section 'Configure PHP and MySQL under Apache 2', point 3.
Hi I have problems installing both Mysqladmin and Wordpress - they both complain about a missing MySQL extension. As far as I can see, the missing extension is installed, but something is clearly missing. Wordpress says 'Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress' and MySQLAdmin says 'Cannot load mysql extension.
Please check your PHP configuration'. I have installed PHP 5.3.8 using the addon from Any ideas?
Thanks JRohde. Hi, i am also having issues with missing mysql extensions and the 'Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress' error message which appears when i try to load the page through my browser. I have installed the latest php version from WhoCares and have MysqlOn installed and running on my ReadyNas Duo and also PhpMyAdmin (though every time i click on Use PhpMyAdmin in frontview i get an error message saying The mysqli extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration). I have managed to create a database through SSH so i am assuming that it is installed correctly & has been configured.
Following all the instructions in these forums has got me this far (a am a complete novice at all of this) and i cant find out anything else which is of any use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi, I will also revive this thread to assist the 'googlers' amongst us rather than start a new one. Action: I installed both the latest PHP Add-On from ReadyNasExtras and also the PhpMyAdmin Add-On from there as well and I see receive the following errors: PhpMyAdmin reports: The mysqli extension is missing.
Please check your PHP configuration. A Wordpress site reports: Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress. Seem related to one enough, the mysqli extension/module is enabled.
Once I've resolved this I can go ahead and import the db via PhpMyAdmin. Configure PhpMyAdmin: Allow logins without a password (localhost 1) You allow for connecting to the server without a password.
If you feel this is necessary, use additional protection settings - host authentication settings and trusted proxies list. However, IP-based protection may not be reliable if your IP belongs to an ISP where thousands of users, including you, are connected to.
OK done that, saved twice, same message. According to this FAQ I need a MySQL Add-On.
I thought this came with the PHP Add-On. Will this work with PhpMyAdmin etc.? I thought I read somewhere on ReadyNasExtras it doesn't work with 'SuperPoussin's' version.
